A Criminal Record Extract is an official extract from the Criminal Records Register (in the Czech Republic maintained by the Ministry of Justice), listing all convictions that have not yet been expunged, including information on the execution of imposed sentences and protective measures, unless the law provides that the person is to be regarded as not having been convicted. Information on conditional suspension of criminal prosecution is not included in the extract. A Criminal Record Extract is a public document.
Certified translations of Criminal Record Extracts are required by foreign authorities to prove an individual’s good character in official proceedings where the original Criminal Record Extract is not issued in the authority’s working language.
