In this article, you\u2019ll learn exactly what a certified translation is, what it\u2019s used for, and what requirements it must meet. These are <strong>translated official documents that are submitted in a country other than the one in which they were issued<\/strong>. Such translations are 100% identical to the original text and are accompanied by a certification clause and a round stamp bearing the state emblem. If you have an official or <a href=\"https:\/\/nove.ilts.cz\/en\/our-services\/certified-translations\/\">certified translation,<\/a> it means that the destination country can accept it without hesitation and can be certain that the document is authentic.<\/p>\n<p>What <a href=\"https:\/\/nove.ilts.cz\/en\/document-overview\/\">types of documents<\/a> are most commonly translated? These include, in particular:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>civil registry documents,<\/li>\n<li>legal and court documents,<\/li>\n<li>powers of attorney and signature authentications,<\/li>\n<li><strong>extracts from <a href=\"https:\/\/nove.ilts.cz\/en\/translations-commercial-register\/\">registers<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/nove.ilts.cz\/en\/translations-criminal-records\/\">records<\/a>, transcripts, certificates<\/strong>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/nove.ilts.cz\/en\/diploma-translations\/\">diplomas<\/a>,<\/li>\n<li>accounting and tax documents,<\/li>\n<li>notarial deeds and articles of incorporation,<\/li>\n<li>identification and registration documents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are three types of certified translations: the standard certified translation, a certified translation additionally bearing an <a href=\"https:\/\/nove.ilts.cz\/en\/apostille\/\">apostille<\/a>, and a certified translation that requires <a href=\"https:\/\/nove.ilts.cz\/en\/superlegalization\/\">superlegalization<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If the Czech Republic has an international treaty with the country where you intend to submit the document that exempts it from authentication, a standard certified translation will suffice. In many cases, standard translations <strong>do not carry sufficient legal weight<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>You will need a certified translation of official documents, for example, when <a href=\"https:\/\/nove.ilts.cz\/en\/jak-zaridit-svatbu-v-zahranici-krok-za-krokem\/\">marrying a foreign national<\/a>, dealing with immigration authorities, or conducting business abroad. This seal certifies that the certified translation corresponds word-for-word to the original document or its notarized copy.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1978ed0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1978ed0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4><strong>Who is authorized to provide this type of translation?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Unlike a standard translation, a certified translation cannot be prepared by just any translator, but only by a <strong>translator appointed by the <a href=\"http:\/\/seznat.justice.cz\">Ministry of Justice<\/a><\/strong> <strong>of the Czech Republic<\/strong>. Translators appointed by the Ministry are authorized to use a round stamp bearing the state emblem and are registered in the list of court translators and interpreters maintained by the Ministry of Justice.
